This is a prime example of how working with us from the start can pay dividends. This customer started their project by engaging with an architect and putting the architects design, with the services of a QS, out to tender. The customer was never really happy with the design / proposed works and the cost of these works were so involved with working / altering the existing building that the cost / gain ratio was just not economical.
When discussing this with the customer the thousands spent so far on drawings, specifications and professional fees were thrown out and we went back to the drawing board with a more simplified scheme of rear extension accommodating new kitchen, dining room with master bed room above with ensuite. All with stunning views overlooking Glastonbury Tor. This project won us “ Highly commended “ at both local and South West LABC awards and took us, and the customer, to the finals in London.
